Version history
Meet the first application with multiple personality disorder. Even versions call themselves Game Recorder, odd versions prefer the name Gecata. Gecata by Movavi won this round
We’ve upped the maximum fps to 120, so you can record your gameplay in the highest possible quality and even apply high-quality slow motion to the footage to show off really epic battles
Added DirectX 12 support without overlays
Improved performance when recording games on DirectX 9
Your game recordings will have the same name as the game they are from so you can easily find them
Added the option to display overlays on the recorded video
Gecata supports even more games now – we’ve tested the program with a lot of new games. See the full list of supported games
The “Enable NVIDIA GPU acceleration” setting is no longer active by default. You can activate it in the settings if you wish
On the “Video” tab, we’ve disabled the VBR bitrate option if one or more of the acceleration settings are enabled. This is to reduce the file size of recorded videos
Fixed issues with recording Call of Duty: WW II, Tom Clancy's The Division, Quantum Break and several other games
Gecata no longer crashes if you exit the Inside game before you shut down the recording program
Overlays will now be displayed during game recording when using MSAA (multisample anti-aliasing) in games on DirectX 10 and 11
