How to Screen Record with Sound on Any Device

First, download the installation file. Once you’ve downloaded it, open the installer and follow the prompts to install and launch Movavi Screen Recorder on your PC or Mac. When you’re done, open the program and get started.

Once you’ve installed and opened the program, it’s time to get started with your screen recording with sound. Before you start recording, explore a few of the options available to you in the software. On the right of the screen, you’ll see a few options. Click the Preferences button. The General tab gives you the ability to highlight clicks, hide or show your cursor while recording, and capture keystrokes. This is also where you’ll choose if you want to hide the recording panel while recording. You can also select your webcam settings, effects, and pre-schedule recordings by choosing the appropriate tools and features here.

When you’re done adjusting your recording settings, click OK, and you’ll be ready to get started with your recording.

Click on the Screen recording button and then set your recording parameters. Before you start recording, be sure to select which part of your screen you want to capture. You can opt to draw a customized rectangle on your screen with your mouse. You can also choose to record your entire screen or a single window or application. In the recording toolbar, you’ll see options to set up your recording to fit your needs. Toggle the Webcam icon on to record your webcam footage and include an overlay of yourself in your video recording. To capture your voice, click the Microphone icon and make sure that you have the appropriate microphone selected to record your voice-over during your screen recording. When you have your parameters set, it’s time to start your recording.

To record your screen and audio, click on the REC button to start. If you’re planning on recording a live webinar or other digital presentation, keep in mind that the program gives you a three-second countdown before it starts recording. This is a handy feature when you’re livestreaming or recording yourself on your webcam, but you should be aware of it if you’re recording someone else’s presentation (so that you don’t accidentally cut off the beginning of the video). While recording, you can Pause at any time, and then restart by hitting the REC button again. When you’re done with your recording, simply hit the Stop button.

After you stop recording, you can edit your video right in Movavi Screen Recorder. You can use the built-in editing tool to trim your video. Once you’re done with your edits, simply click on the Export button to choose your preferred output file format and finally hit the Save button to save your video.

1. Slide down the top-right corner of your screen to access your phone’s Control Center.

2. The screen recording button is a gray circle icon. You need to tap this icon to start recording your screen.

3. The screen recording feature will give a three-second countdown before recording begins.

4. Swipe up to exit the Control Center and perform the actions or go to the video that you want to capture. 

5. When you’re done, go back to the Control Center and tap the red Record button to stop recording.

Your recording will be saved to your Photos. You can make basic edits to the video on your phone or export it to finish editing in a third-party program.

2. Once the app is installed, open the recorder and select the option that best fits your goals. Options include livestreaming, screenshots, and video recording.

3. When you’re ready to start recording, tap the Record button.

4. When you’re finished recording, simply tap the Stop button.

5. After you finish recording, you can perform basic video edits in the app, and your recording will be saved with your photos.
