How to convert TIFF to JPG and vice versa for free

TIFF (or Tag Image File Format) is commonly used by photographers and designers for storing and processing raster graphic images. However, TIFF is not very useful for the average user, as its large size makes it difficult to share via email or social media. To compress the file, you can convert TIFF to JPEG.

Step 1. Install the TIFF-to-JPG converter for free

Download the program, open the file, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 2. Add images to the program

Click the Add Media button and choose Add Images to transfer a file from your hard drive into the workspace. Movavi Video Converter can also process files in bulk. Upload a number of images for batch processing by highlighting them with the mouse and clicking the Open button. If you want to upload multiple files together, just select the first file and click the last one while holding the Shift key.

Step 3. Specify the output format

Click on the Images tab at the bottom of the program window and choose the format you need to change your file format to from the presets listed.

Step 4. Convert TIFF to JPEG for free

Click the Folder button to set the destination folder where your images will be saved. By default, the converter saves your files in the Movavi Library folder. Click Convert to start the process. Once the conversion is complete, the output folder will open automatically.
